To paraphrase "The Princess Bride", the two most classic
blunders are to 1 - enter a land war in Asia and 2 -
schedule a grand opening of an Irish pub on St. Patrick's
Day. Mike, you should have seen the writing on the wall, my
friend... Today's show deals with the opening of "O'Meara's
Pub" later that evening and the upcoming NCAA tournament,
with the charming and lovely Julia Spewack making the picks.
My favorite bit was the "callers" during the Buzz interview
and how closely they resembled the real callers during the
phone scan immediately afterward. Maybe we need to add one
more "classic blunder" to the list: open the phone
lines to callers during happy hour on St. Patrick's Day!
