The ice cubes (and water) at the WJFK studio are
suspect...thank goodness Buzz "has a sharp nose for bad
ice." Next it's American Idol talk and Don makes a big
announcement: He actually voted for one of the contestants!
I think this is the genesis of the "vote for the worst"
movement that launched Sanjaya into minor stardom a year or
so later. It's funny to listen to them rag on Ryan
Seacrest...Rocker Joe Perry has sent D&M an advance copy of
the newest Arrowsmith CD with a personal, handwritten note
which the radio gods enjoy critiquing for grammar and
spelling. Martha Stewart is being punished for being a
beyotch, which leads to a discussion about double standards
(look out, guys, you're starting to sound evolved!). Then,
it's time for a rousing game of "Phone Booth Olympics." Once
again, my home town of Reston, Va. comes through for our
Radio Gods. The Buzzcast includes a warning about a new
strain of gonorrhea, a new study on STDs and abstinence,
Angelina Jolie's sex life and child pornography. Oh, and a
bit of FCC kvetching, too.
