Our Radio Gods outdo themselves with the list of questions
they give the lovely Lisa to ask voters on this Election Day
2000. My favorite has to be, "Do you perceive Ralph Nader to
be a viable option or just a cross-eyed queer?" Just as
funny are the phoners with "Al Gore" a.k.a. Mike, with a
special appearance by "Tipper," and with "George W. Bush."
One observation -- Mike took full advantage of W's two terms
to fine-tune that impression. In hindsight, Buzz's
prediction that "in this close of an election, we may not
know the winner for days, or weeks, or in the worst-case
scenario, months" seems like excellent foreshadowing of the
six weeks of political maneuvering yet to come.
